Mr. Ponsones is a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner with the Adult Critical Care service at UCSF Medical Center. He started his career as Registered Nurse in an Adult Acute Care Unit, ED, and ICU before pursuing advanced practice nursing. He is passionate about patient care safety and enjoys teaching NP students and NP fellows. He has been involved in the development of Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Scope and Standards with the American Association of Critical Care Nurses.
